Statistics Regarding Gonorrhea:
- Research shows, 50% of sexually active women will contract at least one or more strands of HPV in their life
- About 12,000 women get cervical cancer each year; which is linked to HPV
- Cervical cancer has accounted for 5000 deaths in the United States
- A Study done between 2004-2008 approximated 33,000 HPV cases were linked with cancer
Statistics Regarding Chlamydia:
- In 2011, 1,412,791 cases of chlamydia were reported
- But an estimated 2.86 million infections occur annually
- It is estimated that 1 in 15 sexually active females aged 14-19 years has chlamydia.
Statistics Regarding Gonorrhea:
- Research shows that estimated annually 820,000 people in the United States get new gonorrhea infections and less than half of these infections are detected.
- Of those 820,000 people, research found that 570,000 of them were among young people 15-24 years of age.
